When we rank cities in the world with the best buy-to-let yields, we find South America leads the list: Lima, Panama City, Bogotá, Quito, Santiago de Chile, Sao Paolo, and Montevideo. In all cases with more than 8% yield.
In Europe, the best cities are Budapest, Amsterdam, Brussels, Rome, and Berlin, with more than 5%.
As we have always said: not all countries are the same. Some may suffer an awful real estate downturn, while others can even ride a bubble. Compare Spain and Belgium.
